Today in geography we talked about the one child policy in China. I think that it is good for the large population but people should be able to decide how many kids they want to have. I personally would hate to only have 1 child. I still wonder what they do when someone has twins. The number one place i would love to go to is Europe. I love spanish so i would definatley visit Spain. Also, i did my project of France and I loved learning about it so France as well. If i went to Spain i would want to watch the running of the bulls, go shopping, go to the beaches, speak with people, go to some of the churches, and eat a lot of spanish food. If i went to France i would go shopping a lot, i would go to the beaches, see the eiffel tower, see all the statues, and enjoy the scenery.

Today in geography we worked on packets about China and the population crisis. We also read about the coal mines and what the Three Gorges Dam does for China. When I grow up I would love to be a buyer for a store like neimen marcus or saks fifth avenue that way i could travel all over the world and get paid to shop haha. Not much going on right now, i really want to know what i made on my biology report.

Right now, we are studying South Asia in geography class. We are doing a project on a meal from somewhere in Asia. I am doing a meal from the Southeastern Asia. Next week we are going to hear Buddhist monks and other people talk about their religion. This summer, I am going to Kamp Kickapoo the week after school gets out. I'm going to get braces on the 22 of May so I will be dealing with those for the summer and through the school year and so on. I get them off October 2009. In July I am going to the beach. This is my favorite place to go for the summer because I love the ocean and the sand and everything you can do there. Then, after that I am going to Baylor University for camp with my cheer squad. After that I will be doing driving school and maybe an SAT prep course. Then it is back to school!

April 16 2008

Today in world geography we took our chapter 8 unit test. Then we started our vocabulary for our unit about India and other countries around them. Im really excited about when we learn about Austrailia because I really don't know anything about that entire continent. Today we got our white uniforms for cheerleading so im excited about that. We had a choir competition yesterday and we got straight ones so that is really good actually the best you can get. Im very pleased with the focus that our choir has and we worked really hard to deserve it.

Friday march 28

Today is Friday and my parents are in Chicago so my grandmother is staying with us. Tomorow i think im going to go to my friend's soccer games. So cheer practice is going well. In geography we are presenting our African Masks mine is the sun spirit and its really big. I just bonded with my friend Shannon because i have a shirt that she has. I am going to be late to class cause i procrastinated.

Yesterday in Geography we took went over our African Mask Project. We have to make a mask all by our selves and it has to represent the spirit of the animal we are making. We have to use colors that mean certain things and be really creative with the design using geometrical shapes and zig zags. I still haven't decided what animal i want to do i think i want to do a gazelle though. Tomorow im having my friend Tori over to make cupcakes as a late birthday present and we are going to use the best icing in the world! CREAM CHEESE ICING yay! We are also going to decorate them with cool colors. Im really nervous today because we are finding out if we made cheerleading. We get an envelope at the end of the day that either says "Congratulations" or "Sorry try out next year" So wish me luck!

First Blog

My name is Morgan I have one older brother and one younger brother. My older brother is 22 and my younger brother is 11. My older brother goes to college at Texas State University. My favorite place in Austin is downtown because the shopping is a lot of fun and the people are very nice, it has a good atmosphere. During the summer, I like to go kayaking on town lake or Lady Bird Lake. Today in geography class, we read excerpts from books and other places about the genocide in Africa. I didn't have a chance to start those because I had been gone for a week and was reading about African art and how it was thought of as primitive because it was not like the Renaissance art and other things. The reason it was so primitive is because the artists were not trying to make something pretty, they were expressing their emotions and religion.
